Modern Slavery Statement

 

This statement is made in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and identifies steps that ADAMS Clinical Nutrition Ltd (ADAMS) has taken to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.

 

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. ADAMS has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery within our business or supply chain.

 

Our Business ADAMS was established in August 2024. We have developed a range of nutrient-dense food products for the management of malnutrition.  ADAMS has two directors and no additional staff.  We have one supplier which is IMCD UK Ltd: Appendix I

Policies and Procedures:

 

We have implemented a number of policies and procedures to address modern slavery and human trafficking:

  • Supplier Code of Conduct: Our supplier code of conduct explicitly prohibits forced labour, child labour, and other forms of modern slavery.

  • Recruitment Policy: We are committed to fair recruitment practices and avoid labour trafficking.

  • Employee Code of Conduct: Our employees are expected to adhere to high ethical standards and report any concerns.

 

Training and Awareness:

  • All employees will be made aware of the company's commitment to ethical business practices and modern slavery.

  • Regular training will be provided to relevant staff to raise awareness , identify and address potential risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.

 

  • Supply Chain Due Diligence: We conduct regular assessments of our suppliers to identify and mitigate risks.  Any issues or concerns will be investigated promptly and addressed appropriately.

  • Monitoring and Review: We monitor our supply chain and internal operations to identify and address any potential issues.

Worldwide in 2023 over, IMCD Group employed more than 4000 staff in over 60 countries. IMCD UK Ltd, based in Sutton, Surrey employs approximately 230 staff.

 

IMCD has a policy in place to assess not only new suppliers but also existing suppliers on the basis of a risk-based approach taking into account product characteristics, supply chain procedures and industry developments. Suppliers who act as distributors are subject to additional checks to review the supply chain prior to goods being delivered to IMCD. IMCD neither engages in nor supports the use of forced, bonded or involuntary labour or child labour. IMCD therefore complies with the standards of the lnternational Labour Organisation and the minimum age requirements in all countries in which IMCD conducts business.
